Welcome to Louie the Cancer Dog!

Welcome friends to Louie’s blog! I’m hoping to keep you up to date on Louie’s progress. Louie is a great Pyrenees diagnosed June 2012 of Cancer in his front leg. He had amputation in August 2012. He is treated by Dr Palmquist, Centinela Vet Hospital in Inglewood California. He is on Artemesimin and many other herbs as prescribed.

We opted not to do chemo since chemo tears down the immune system and over and over has no known effects or poor ones most of the time. Louie is going strong as of this date

Louie is a 6 1/2 year old who was diagnosed with OS cancer in his front leg in June 2012. He had his leg amputated Aug 2012. We decided no chemo and he is instead taking herbs prescribed by Dr Palmquist in Inglewood, CA. The holistic care for cancer prescribes to the idea that if you treat the immune system, the liver and overall health of the body, the body then can fight the cancer or disease. Louie is going strong and we are working on getting his body strong enough to take him to visit the Cancer patients, especially the children, at the Loma Linda Hospital to encourage them to believe! Our motto is "Surviving Cancer one herb at a time"! Louie is also taking Artemisinin to attack whatever cancer cells he might have.

  1. Welcome Louie and family! Although, sorry you had to find us. We are located just south of you in Orange County! We no longer have a tripawd, as our boy Max passed in January 2010. However, we are still active on the forums. Please visit over there if you haven’t already. There’s a lot of good info and tips for tripawds!

  2. Louie, we are so glad you joined us (but sorry about that cancer diagnosis!). You are such a handsome pup.

Hey listen, we are about to have a Tripawds Pawty on President’s Day, somewhere in Southern California. Please join our Forum Discussion in ‘Tripawds Parties” to help us pick a place to meet up. We would looooooove to meet you Mister Wonder Dog!
